Executive Dean Dorothy "Dee" Laffin Student Success Scholarship

Dr. Dorothy “Dee” Laffin joined the Ammerman Campus Business Administration faculty in January of 1980 and served in a variety of roles until her retirement in 2017. She was selected as a faculty member and administrator to be honored as “Someone Who Made A Difference.” She was a 2005 recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Faculty Service. This scholarship was created for a student who shows a strong commitment to academic excellence and potential to succeed, as well as demonstrating a commitment to gender equality through advancing women in the business world. This scholarship is college-wide for a continuing student.

Award: $500 (one award)

Criteria:
1. Continuing student, Full-time, College-wide
2. Enrolled in a business, accounting or paralegal studies program
3. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
4. Please write a 250 word essay explaining your views on the importance of gender equality and the advancement of women in the business world.
