Sartorius STEM Scholarship
The Sartorius STEM Scholarship at Suffolk County Community College cultivates a collegial campus culture focused on inclusion, equity, diversity,
and academic excellence.
Awarded to: Full-time or Part-time students
Award: $5,000 (two awards)
Award will be split between the fall and spring semesters
Criteria:
1. Be enrolled in one of the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
(STEM) programs – including, but not limited to Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technology,
Mathematics, or related studies.
2. Submit one letter of recommendation from a faculty member, an advisor from a student
organization, or a Counselor at SCCC.
3. Submit a 400-word essay describing your career goals, how this scholarship would impact your studies, and how you reflect any of the following preferences specified by the donor:
Preference will be given to students who demonstrate diversity and financial need, including, but not
limited to, students aligned with the LGBT+ community and/or underserved communities of
color at Suffolk County Community College.
