Local 338 Charities

In 2014, the Local 338 Charities, was founded to provide assistance and support to union members and the communities in which they live and work. It is affiliated with Local 338 RWDSU/UFCW, a labor union that proudly represents approximately 13,000 working men and women employed in a variety of different industries throughout New York and New Jersey.

Fostering educational opportunities is an important component of Local 338 Charities’ mission. As a result, we wanted to support union members and their dependents who were pursuing a higher degree or returning to college to enhance their professional skills and prospects.
