Henry A. Gilbert Memorial Scholarship for Children of Deaf Adults (CODA)

The Henry A. Gilbert Memorial Fund Committee of the Suffolk Community College Foundation established this scholarship in support of students who are the children of deaf adults to further the goal of assisting Suffolk’s deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.

Awarded to: Full-time or Part-time CONTINUING students, college-wide
Award: Varies. Will provide scholarship funds over and above the student’s financial aid awards and other resources for full tuition and fees and cost of attendance. (two awards)

Criteria:
1. Submit documentation affirming your CODA status
2. Write a 250-word essay describing your experiences as a child of deaf adults
3. GPA of 2.75 or better
