David Sperling "DREAM" Scholarship for NEW students

This scholarship was created to address the growing need of enrolled students who do not meet federal/state residency requirements to qualify for Federal or State Financial Aid or student loans.

Awarded to: College-wide Full-time or Part-time NEW students
Award: $1000 (multiple awards)
Criteria:
1. Must be a NEW student starting Suffolk County Community College in the fall 2024 semester
2. Must be a first-generation college student (neither parent graduated from college)
3. Must have financial difficulty as determined by your ‘Personal Statement’
4. You do not meet federal residency eligibility requirements; lack the documentation required to qualify for federal or state financial aid; or be in the legal process of obtaining US residency and/or citizenship.
5. High school GPA of 80 or above
